I would choose to live in Kelowna. I feel that Kelowna is a livable and sustainable city and there are more pros than cons. Firstly, I think Kelowna is livable. Kelowna has many cultural events. The cultural events are very diverse and interesting. I feel that Kelowna is sustainable. The city's industries are sustainable. Kelowna's forestry industry harvests less than 1% of trees in all of British Columbia each year. The tree fruit industry uses one of the most environmentally friendly methods for fruit packaging. Finally I feel that the pros to living in Kelowna outweigh the cons. The cons of living in Kelowna is the congestion in the city's transportation routes. However, Kelowna is working towards making the transportation routes more accessible for biking and for walking which will make a more livable and sustainable city. Also, housing in Kelowna's isn't the most affordable but is still better than Toronto. As well, there is a threat for earthquakes. The pros are that the unemployment rate in Kelowna is decreasing and is less than Toronto and the local economy in Kelowna is growing. There are also many places of interest and amazing outdoor landscape. These pros all make the city more livable. In conclusion, Kelowna is a livable and sustainable city, and there are more pros than cons to living in the city so therefor I would choose to live there.
